HTA SCHOLARSHIP FUND OFFERS $51,000 IN COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Harness Tracks of America, with funding assistance from International Sound Corporation, Harold Snyder and Champion Communications Ltd., is offering four $7,500 college scholarships and two $10,000 college scholarships for the 2005-2006 school year to children of harness racing participants and others active in the sport.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit, financial need and active harness racing involvement. The scholarships are for sons and daughters of licensed harness racing drivers, trainers, caretakers, management or students actively engaged in the harness racing industry. An additional $1,000 in scholarships will be awarded to a students from the University of Arizona Race Track Industry Program for academic performance and harness racing participation.
