HTA ART AUCTION CATALOG NOW AVAILABLE ONLINE

The 28th annual art auction benefiting the Harness Tracks of America College Scholarship Fund will be held Saturday, October 1, 2005, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Tattersalls Sales Arena in Lexington, Ky. All artwork will be exhibited the week of September 26 in the grandstand of The Red Mile in Lexington. The complete catalog featuring 200 exquisite pieces of art now can be viewed online, with enlargement capability for each picture, at www.harnesstracks.com or www.elegantequineart.com.

The show this year features original contemporary art, including watercolors, oils, and bronzes by famed artists from all over the world, 40 exceptional Currier & Ives prints, and a section of classics and classical interpretations of all breeds, including German porcelain, French crystal, English prints, original bronzes by artists such as Isidore Bonheur and Pierre Lenordez, and a signed original charcoal and watercolor by George Ford Morris entitled Baroness.

The Currier & Ives section features mostly large folios, many of them from 1850 and earlier, including the rare and hard to find Stars of the Trotting Track and A Brush for the Lead. New York Flyers on the Snow. Also included in the Currier & Ives section is the famed suite by Salvador Dali of American Trotting Horses Number 1 and American Trotting Horses Number 2. The two lithographs, being sold as a set, are hand signed by the artist and in mint condition. All artwork will be sold framed.
